Pulling Petals

This is just a short poem I wrote. While I do love writing lovey dovey poems (especially since I'm a huge romantic), I figured some people would appreciate this :) I thought it was kind of funny personally to think of the flower's point of view!

I’m so sick of this love crap!
I’m past the point of no return, I’m gunna snap!
Day in and day out, you tear the petals apart,
Flowers brutally murdered due to matters of the heart!
You think it’s easy to be a flower?
Flower power yeah right! Flowers have no physical power.
Do you know how many times I have sat and watched
My friends and family petals ripped off and they get debauched?
How can you do such a thing? Our petals make us desirable
Much more than any jewelry or bauble.
Our petals attract insects with much needed pollen
So forgive me if I seem rude and sullen.
Without our petals we die, I’m not being melodramatic!
Nothing can bring us back. Not water, not sun. Don’t you dare try the Heimlich!
Everyone knows we have to photosynthesize to survive
But without our beautiful petals, we just shrivel and our life takes a nosedive.
Death is the only answer, for we were uprooted from the ground
All so that love could abound.
